A great Greek meal for the whole family! Adults and children love this dish.

  1. In a bowl addvthe rice and soak it for about 15 minutes, after 15 minutes drain the watern, add the minced meat, egg, rice, onion, carrot, olive oil, herbs and salt and pepper.
  2. Knead the ingredients very well.
  3. Form small balls the size of a walnut and arrange them on a tray.
  4. Time to prepare the sauce, heat the olive oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion for 3 minutes.
  5. Add the potatoes, stir and sauté for another 3 minutes.
  6. Add the water, tomato and the chopped parsley.
  7. Cover and continue cooking for 10 minutes.
  8. Form the giouvarelakia and pour them all together into the tomato sauce.
  9. Reduce the heat and simmer the sauce for about 25 to 30 minutes over medium heat until it thickens.
  10. Finally, add salt and pepper.
