A hearty healthy savory, sweet soup for winter!

  1. For the soup
  2. We clean the pumpkin, peel it and cut it into large cubes, place it in a deep baking pan and bake it in a strong oven until soft. When it is cooked, let it drain well. In a pot, add the butter and olive oil and sauté the onion until it shines and add the spices and cubes, then add the pumpkin and plenty of water, let it boil for 20 minutes, taste for taste and puree with a stick blender. Once it has reached the right velvety, relatively thick texture, add a little cream. Ready! Serve with breadsticks and feta cheese!
  3. Breadsticks Preparation
  4. For homemade and easy breadsticks, first dissolve the salt in water.
  5. Sift the flour into a bowl. Add the yeast and mix.
  6. When the dough comes together in a ball, knead it on a floured counter for about ten minutes until it becomes smooth and soft. Whenever it sticks to your hands, sprinkle with flour.
  7. Place the dough in a greased bowl and let it double in size for about 1 hour.
  8. Once it has risen, remove it from the counter. Take pieces of dough and shape them into ropes and then cut them into small pieces.
  9. Lightly grease them and place them on a greased baking sheet with space between them.
  10. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs with various seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds
  11. Cover them and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  12. Bake them at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  13. The recipe requires a waiting time (for rising) of about 1.5 hours.
