In a pot add the margarine the sugar the water the cocoa powder and bring to a boil, remove from heat and add the cognac, coffee, salt, cinnamon, lemon juice and stir. Save a 1/2 cup of this "syrup" aside for later use. Once the cocoa mixture is warm add the egg yolks, the flour and stir. In a bowl add the egg whites and mix until they are nice and fluffy. Then add little by little the fluffy egg whites to the cocoa and flour mixture and mix softly so the mixture won't sit.
Butter a baking pan and add the cake batter, bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Once it's done remove from oven and let it cool , remove then from baking pan and add the syrup which you have saved. Serve with vanilla ice-cream.
