Galaktoboureko and Kadaifi 2 in 1
Ingredients
Directions
- First we make the syrup, put all the ingredients together in a pot and let it boil for 5'-7' minutes. Remove and let cool!
- For the galaktoboureko custard, add all the ingredients (except the butter) to a saucepan, put on a low heat and stir constantly until the cream thickens, remove from the heat and add the butter. Cover with plastic film and let it cool!
- Mix the chopped walnuts with the spices (cinnamon, cloves) and set aside.
- Open the kadaifi strands with your hands so that it separates well and becomes fluffy. Take a small amount, put one or two teaspoons of custard and then a teaspoon of walnuts, wrap and place in a pan. After finishing, brush the butter and bake at 170-180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Until it gets the a nice golden brown color. Remove and as it is hot pour the cold syrup slowly.
