Galaktoboureko and Kadaifi 2 in 1

Ingredients

Directions

  1. First we make the syrup, put all the ingredients together in a pot and let it boil for 5'-7' minutes. Remove and let cool!
  2. For the galaktoboureko custard, add all the ingredients (except the butter) to a saucepan, put on a low heat and stir constantly until the cream thickens, remove from the heat and add the butter. Cover with plastic film and let it cool!
  3. Mix the chopped walnuts with the spices (cinnamon, cloves) and set aside.
  4. Open the kadaifi strands with your hands so that it separates well and becomes fluffy. Take a small amount, put one or two teaspoons of custard and then a teaspoon of walnuts, wrap and place in a pan. After finishing, brush the butter and bake at 170-180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Until it gets the a nice golden brown color. Remove and as it is hot pour the cold syrup slowly.
