A sweet usually eaten during Lent.

Ingredients

  2. Take two pots in one add all the ingredients for the syrup and turn on heat until it boils and the sugar is dissolved,boil for 1-2 minutes, in the other pot add all of the oil turn on medium heat and wait until it almost starts smoking add all of the semolina and stir continuously until the semolina gets a nice golden brown color. Remove the cinnamon stick and the star anise from the syrup and carefully and slowly pour syrup into the pot with the semolina lower heat and stir continuously until a thick batter forms that doesn't stick to the pot remove from heat, at this point you can add nuts,raisins etc. Take the batter and place it in a cake mold or any mold you like pressing the batter with a spoon. Let it cool remove from mold and ready.
