Koulourakia vegan with ouzo.

  1. Beat the butter with the olive oil, sugar, vanilla and orange zest. Add the water and ouzo. Mix the baking soda with the orange juice. As soon as it foams, add it to the mixer bowl with the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Mix the flour with the baking powder, salt and anise. Add the flour to the bowl and stir just to combine the ingredients. The dough will be very soft.
  3. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees in the air. Make about 30 cookies (50g each) and roll them in sesame seeds. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden. The cookies will become crispier as they cool.
