Moustokouloura / Grape juice cookies

Moustokouloura are cookies made from grape juice, we usually make them in September when we gather all of our grapes and take there juice so we can make wine.

Ingredients

  1. Mix all the wet ingredients in a large bowl, add the sugar and stir until it's dissolved, add the baking soda to the brandy then add it to the bowl, then we sift the flour with the baking powder, the raisins, and add them little by little until we have a soft dough that does not stick to our hands.
  2. Shape the moustokouloura into rounds add the sesame seeds,(optional) and spread them on baking sheets lined with greaseproof paper.
  3. Bake the cookies in the air at 170°C for 40', until they rise slightly and brown on all sides. Cool on a rack, keep in an airtight container for freshness.
