Directions
- Mix the egg yolks with the sugar in the mixer until they turn white. At the same time, breadcrumbs, walnuts, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, cloves, brandy and vanilla are added. The egg whites will be whipped into a stiff meringue and added to the egg mixture. They are mixed gently and circularly from bottom to top with a spatula so that the mixture does not deflate. Butter and flour a 30X45 cm rectangular pan well. Add the mixture, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 45'. For the syrup, boil water and sugar in a saucepan for 5-7 minutes. At the end, lemon and brandy are added. After the dessert comes out of the oven, it is cut into pieces and poured with the hot syrup. When the syrup is absorbed and cooled well it is ready to be served with chopped walnuts or half walnuts.
