My aunt here in Greece always used to make this in the holidays or whenever we had family gatherings or birthday parties! She called it "toast souffle" but I just call it toast baked in the oven. Hope you like it and enjoy it!

  1. All ingredients must be at room temperature. Take a slice of the toast and butter it with a knife on both sides add it in a deep oven pan then add one slice of cheese one slice of ham and another slice of toast buttered, continue until you have filled the pan. In between you can add som tomatoe sauce its optional. In a bowl beet the eggs with the milk and the salt and pepper, add the mixture slowly to the pan over the toast sprinkle with the grated cheese cover let it stand on your counter for 15 minutes, and bake in a preheated oven at 200C for about 40-45 minutes, uncover and continue baking until you have a beautiful golden brown color.
